    Description

Rondel is a term defining the round shape of the guard and handle of this dagger. However, that is not the only unique characteristic about this dagger. Jousting and tool utilizing was often the primary purpose of this blade type, but it has found it's way to succeed on the battlefield during the 12th, 13th, and 14th Centuries. The round hand guard of this Rondel dagger is capable of stopping a sword before impact. It is full carbon steel. Hardwood is hand carved into a spiral for the handle, creating a very solid hand grip. The round pommel reflects the same hand guard design fitted to protect and balance. Genuine cow hide leather is utilized for a very high quality sheath. Each end is fitted with steel overlay. Fix the sheath to your medieval belt with the convenient steel belt clip. This authentic Rondel Dagger is a functional carbon steel unit. The unique triangular shape is not meant for cutting, but instead for piercing armor. It is a solid carbon steel spike 7mm thick and 7mm wide. This design will maintain it's shape after repeated thrusting where a sword lacks.
