A rare 19C Victorian porcelain figural sea shell form wall pocket.
2 large shells form 1 pocket and 2 smaller
shells below are individual pockets.  Tied together with a central bough and decorated with a ruffled blue ribbon.  A 5 flower blossom bud at the top.  Gold trim at shell edges and tips of ribbon.  Shells & bough white glaze, yellow at interior back, blue ribbon and multicolor flower leaf bud.
Unmarked.  However I think this may be a John Mortlock piece.   From an

Last 2 pics show a cat bowl with the Mortlock stamp, the ribbon treatment is so close to the ribbon of the wall hanger, another Mortlock example I saw on line has the same 5 flower blossom bud-of what looks like forget-me-not. So not definitive but I think this is very likely a Mortlock porcelain piece.
Some repairs; left tip of top shell has been broken off and reattached/painted it appears like.  I am unsure if the top ribbon of piece and extending to the bottom leaf on each side is a repair or not, personally I believe it is, the ribbon is crude in comparison to that below the flower bud.   Pocket is as found with the wire wrapped at neck.  Perhaps there was a hanging element at the top originally, I just don't know.  I don't see any other repair spots, if there are any they are minimal.  Very small chip on inside lip of rt. bottom shell.  The ends of blue ribbon at very bottom bow are broken off on rt. side, see pics.  Small brown spot on porcelain on large rt. shell.   All over fine crazing.   Thought I saw a fine spider line somewhere but can't find it now and nothing shows up on the pics.   Darkening at bottom interior pocket, not sure if it will wash out or not.
Glaze wear on back commensurate with age.  Minor manufacturing defects (small firing lines, etc).  Needs to be cleaned which I leave to the new owner (dusty).

A wonderful creation reflecting the Victorian appetite for natural history and bringing it into the home.
Selling as is, not perfect but perfectly striking and unusual if not very unique. Beautiful coloring.  Cat dish showing Mortlock mark & details not included.
