Original Sterling Silver Arabian Horse necklace by Cindy A. Conter saluki arab

Gorgeous!!! One of a kind!! Sterling silver Arabian Horse necklace !!!   OOAK.
I made this piece by using the lost wax jewelry method (my business name when I started making mostly jewelry originals, was Lost Wax Jewelry by Cindy A. Conter, I started selling my art work at dog shows in 1972. ) This piece is an original.
I first carved this piece in wax using dental tools.  After carving, I invested it into a plaster like mold, burned out the wax and cast in the hot sterling silver. While still hot, I tossed the plaster (acturally called investment) mold into water which diluted out the plaster and left the silver piece. I then cut off the sprues and cleaned it up, then polished it. This was a lot of work and if I made a mistake during casting, I had to start completely over as I did not make molds on my work, I did only originals (unless commissioned for special events and then I did limited editions.)
This necklace was made using a picture I took of  an Arabian Stallion. He was a beautiful horse and made a great model for my horse artwork. This piece measures about 2 3/8" by 2 3/8". It is cast in sterling silver, has a large loop on the back big enough for an omega to go through it. It will come with a black satiny cord to wear it on until you find a beautiful chain to put it on.
The back has my signature ( I no longer do original sterling silver jewelry, my last pieces were made through 1996.  I had to give up vendorships at dog show many years ago, so I am now selling my favorite sterling silver pieces on EBAY.
