Gainsborough Lady Portrait Old English Masters Porcelain Dresser Trinket Dish

Here is a lovely, rare Old English Masters Covered Trinket Box/ Dresser Dish. It features a transferware of an early portrait painting by famous English artist of the 18th century- Sir Thomas Gainsborough (see his signature in photo 5). This portrait picture is of Mrs. Sheridan, a lovely lady with scarf sitting on rocks and hands in her lap. Around her picture is a hand painted delicate gold decoration. There is also a gold stenciling on the green rim and a circle of porcelain beading around the portrait. The porcelain dish & lid is decorated with a chain of petite pink roses and green garland swag. This antique piece m
easures approximately 3-1/2" diameter x 1-3/4" tall with lid. The piece is in very good condition, no chips, cracks or repairs- there is some gold rub/loss.
