Antique William Brownfield & Son Jasperware Pewter Lid Condiment Jar Circa 1870s

Antique William Brownfield & Son single-handled condiment jar. Pewter lid. Jasperware style. Unusual grey-green glossy background with raised Classical Greek imagery in white. Bottom is incised "Brownfield & Son," which seems to date it as having been made between 1871 and 1876, according to the references we checked. Estate find, and can use some polishing and/or cleaning, but in very nice shape for its age. Because of the notched lid, we believe this to be a condiment jar, though if it originally came with a spoon, that is long gone. Around 2.5 inches in diameter, and 2.5 inches tall (excluding the lifter on the lid). See photos for more information and condition.
