    Description

    Antique Royal Vitreous John Maddock and Sons Small Tureen Blue and White.
    This is a small antique Royal Vitreous tureen made by John Maddock and sons , Burslem, Staffordshire, England. The potters mark indicates this piece was made c. 1880-1896. This lovely old tureen has the most beautiful blue and white pattern. Delicate blue flowers against a white background edged in gold.
    Due to its age,there is a lot of wear on the gold edging. It is almost worn away on most of the piece. Please look at the photos closely. There are flea bites and some spots of discoloration. The lid has two tiny chips on its edge.
    This is a wonderful shabby chic / farmhouse piece. It is distressed and imperfect but beautiful!
