    1886 JOHN MARSHALL HOPS TRANSFERWARE WEDDING BEER PITCHER
    An attractive, Scottish, personalized transferware wedding beer pitcher or beer jug. The hand painted script reads, "John & Mary Broke" with decorative underlines. Executed in an identical manner as Staffordshire region transfer wares. The body is composed of glazed white earthenware
    Featuring a detailed, large black transfers of hops. Throughout can be seen tiny cobalt blue speckles in the glaze, an attractive and unusual effect. Base has an interesting swirled design and marking as follows: J. MARSHALL & Co. / HOP
