    Description

    Antique Thomas Furnival & Sons transferware bowl and pitcher set.
    The pattern is Messina.
    The colors are magenta and gold on a white back ground.
    The Furnival National Achives date this pattern recorded in 1872
    and it is estimated that they were made between 1872 and 1876
    This has been in our family since about 1969.
    There are no dents or dings on the pieces but the inside of the bowl
    has some age spots.
    This sentence is from an email that I received when I was researching the pattern.
    The pattern is listed at our national archives as being recorded in 1872, by Thomas
    Furnival
    & Son in Cobridge, so your pieces date from 1872 to 1876.

    The pitcher is 13" tall and the bowl is 15-1/2" in diameter.
